Ponce de Leon made many historic journeys in his lifetime, including a voyage to Puerto Rico in 1506, a trip to the island of Bimini in 1512, a return journey to Bimini in 1513--although he ended up in Florida--and a second voyage to Florida in 1521. He died in Florida, fighting against the area's indigenous people whose land he'd invaded.
