Best Believe: The Tres Hermanas, a Sisterhood for the Common Good

Rhythmic verse and vibrant illustrations present the Tres Hermanas—Evelina Antonetty, Lillian L-pez, and Elba Cabrera—who moved from Puerto Rico to New York City as children and grew up to be leaders in their Bronx community. Evelina, an activist for social causes, founded United Bronx Parents; Lillian became the first Puerto Rican library administrator; and Elba an ambassador and advocate for the arts.
